Has anyone else been struggling to find a 2025 K5 GT at dealerships?

Has anyone else been having trouble finding a 2025 K5 GT at any dealership? I’m in St. Louis, MO, and when I called my local dealership, they told me they have none coming in and the ones they did order are already sold. Is my only option to place an order and hope I like it?

Second question: I test drove a 2025 K5 GT-Line and liked it, but I prefer the GT. Does anyone have thoughts on the differences between the two?

Should I wait for the GT, order it, or just go with the GT-Line and spend the extra money customizing it?

Consider going for the GT. Have you looked into the dealers on the other side of the river?

I had to drive two hours to find the only GT in Wisconsin, but I managed to get it.

I struggled to find a used GT1 in Chicago last May. I eventually found one in Indianapolis, and they transported it to their sister dealership. By the way, I love it!

I’m in California and had to drive four hours north to get the K5 GT1 I wanted. I’d recommend either waiting or driving whatever distance you think is worthwhile to find one. I researched about 30 dealerships across California, and only a few had the K5 GT, let alone the GT1 package. The dealer I visited had three GT1s in stock, while none of the other major city dealerships I checked had more than one, if they even had any at all, and they weren’t GT1s.

That said, these cars are still quite rare, especially the 2025 models. The eight-hour round trip was worth it for me; my wife and I enjoyed a night in a hotel before heading back the next day.
