I’ve been considering purchasing the GT with the GT1 Package, but recently started looking into the GT-Line AWD with the GT-Line Package, and now I’m a bit confused. Is it worth spending the extra money on the GT, or should I opt for the GT-Line AWD instead? Additionally, it would be helpful if someone could explain the differences between the two, including their package features.

If you get excited when you accelerate and love the thrill of speed, the GT is definitely worth it. If that’s not a big deal to you, the GT-Line will be perfectly fine. I chose the GT because I enjoy the fast-paced experience and the excitement of going “zoom!”

From a financial standpoint, the GT will cost you about $80 more per month and will likely increase your gas expenses as well. For me, style was a higher priority than payment or performance, so I opted for the GT-Line Premium package with red interior and sunroof. I’m very pleased with my decision and appreciate the ~$80 monthly savings compared to the GT.

The decision primarily comes down to balancing price and fuel economy against performance and power. If you don’t really need the extra power, a fully loaded EX might be your best option. However, if AWD is a must-have for you, then the choice is straightforward since that limits your options.

I’m really happy with my GT and the GT1 Sports Package. I almost bought a Stinger, but then I found a brand new 2024 K5 in January and haven’t regretted my decision since!
